F Reset| Mouse anti Human TIM-4 antibody, clone rAB04-3G2, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes TIM-4, also known as SMUCKLER, T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 4 or TIMD-4. TIM-4 is a ~ 42 kDa type I membrane protein which is preferentially expressed on macrophages, mature dendritic cells, peritoneal B1 cells and invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. TIM-4 is the ligand of TIM-1, and binding leads to T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. Polymorphisms in the TIM-4 gene may be associated with a predisposition to asthma. TIM-4 is expressed in various tumor cells, including lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and certain sarcomas. It can contribute to tumor growth and immune evasion by modulating the tumor microenvironment and promoting angiogenesis. |

| Application Name | Verified | Min Dilution | Max Dilution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow Cytometry 1 | Neat |
- 1Staining at lower temperatures generally requires longer incubation to reach antibody binding equilibrium, and this effect is more pronounced for StarBright Dyes due to their larger size. For optimum staining, Bio-Rad recommends incubating samples either overnight at 4°C or 1 hour at room temperature.
- Flow Cytometry
- Use 5μl of the suggested working dilution to label 0.5x106 cells in 100μl. Best practices suggest a 5 min centrifugation at 6,000g prior to sample application.
