WB Reset| Mouse anti‑GST antibody (clone vpg66) is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes Glutathione S‑transferase (GST), also known as glutathione transferase. GST represents a family of cytosolic dimeric isoenzymes that catalyse the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a broad range of hydrophobic and electrophilic compounds. GST is highly conserved across species, including mammals. and plays a central role in cellular detoxification and protection against chemical and oxidative stress. GSTs are widely expressed in tissues such as liver, kidney, intestines and lung, where they contribute to the metabolism and clearance of endogenous and exogenous compounds. Beyond their physiological role, GSTs are commonly used as fusion tags in recombinant protein expression systems. |
