Negative Isotype Controls
- Recombinant Hepatitis E virus ORF2 protein is amino acids 633 to 659 of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) expressed in Escherichia coli. This region encodes ORF2 (Open reading frame 2) which is believed to encode the HEV structural/capsid proteins.
The Hepatitis E Virus is a non-enveloped positive strand RNA virus with three overlapping ORFs (ORF1 encodes non-structural proteins, whilst ORF2 & 3 encode structural proteins). Recombinant Hepatitis E virus ORF2 protein is fused for beta galactosidase.
