Mouse anti hnRNP K antibody, clone F45 P9 C7 recognizes hnRNP K (heterogeneous ribonucleotide protein K), a 464 amino acid acidic protein found in the nucleus, cytoplasm and mitochondria, involved in transcription, mRNA shuttling and the translation and editing of RNA. Over-expression of hnRNP K has been demonstrated in cancerous tissue including that of the colon, breast, liver and lungs, and its involvement in cell migration has been implicated in tumour metastasis. hnRNP K increases the transcriptional activity of the c-myc and c-src oncogenes (Wang et al. 2020). |
