Recombinant rat ciliary neurotrophic factor prepared from E. coli.
ciliary neutrophic factor (CNTF) is a neuroregulatory cytokine found primarily in peripheral nerve tissue. CNTF promotes survival and differentiation of neurons and other neuronal cell types.
Purified recombinant protein - lyophilised
Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute with 25ul of water.Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. DO NOT VORTEX.
Sterile filtered through a 0.2 micron filter, lyophilised from 5mM Sodium Acetate pH 6.5
Determined by it's ability to stimulate the proliferation of human TF-1 cells using a concentration range of 25.0 - 35.0 ng/ml
>98% by SDS PAGE and HPLC analysis

Preparing The Antibody
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC. Following reconstitution store at -20oC.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
This product has been reported to work in the following applications. This information is derived from testing within our laboratories, peer-reviewed publications or personal communications from the originators.
