Mouse anti Rat CD44 antibody, clone OX-49 recognizes rat CD44, also known as Phagocytic glycoprotein I (PGP-1), Extracellular matrix receptor III, GP90 lymphocyte homing/adhesion receptor, HUTCH-I, Hermes antigen or hyaluronate receptor. Rat CD44 is a 482 amino acid, ~120-200 kDa single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein. CD44 is expressed by most lymphocytes, macrophages and polymorphs. Lymphocyte expression is increased upon activation.
