Recombinant Human interleukin-8 protein is an E. coli deriver full length form of interleukin-8, also known as C-X-C motif chemokine 8, Emoctakin, Granulocyte chemotactic protein 1, Monocyte-derived neutrophil chemotactic factor, Monocyte-derived neutrophil-activating peptide, Neutrophil-activating protein 1, Protein 3-10C orT-cell chemotactic factor. Human interleukin-8 promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. The 77 amino acid form is the predominant form secreted by endothelial cells.
A truncated form, IL-8 (6-77) of human interleukin-8 (PHP055 ) is also available.
