IFN Beta 1A
Interferons exhibit anti-viral and anti proliferative effects and also influence the immune response. Effects on the immune system mediated by interferons may be mediated by increased expression of major histocompatability complex (MHC) antigens. Interferon beta a has been shown to exhibit therapeutic efficacy against viral infections, different types of cancer and multiple sclerosis (Borden et al. 2007).
- Target Species
- Product Form
- Recombinant protein - lyophilised
- Reconstitute with 50ul of distilled water
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
- Buffer Solution
- 0.01M Sodium Acetate
- Preservative Stabilisers
- 0.34M Mannitol
0.9% human serum albumin
- 270 x 106 IU/mg, as determined in a viral resistance assay
- >98.0% as determined by HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
- Approx. Protein Concentrations
- Total protein concentration 0.1 mg/ml after reconstitution
- Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
After reconstitution store at -20oC.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
