Hamster anti Mouse CD79b antibody, clone HM79-11 recognizes murine CD79 beta, expressed by B cells as part of the B cell receptor complex (immunoglobulin and the CD79 alpha/beta heterodimer).

Murine CD79 beta is expressed at the cell surface of pro-B cells prior to surface immunoglobulin, and is expressed throughout B cell differentiation.

CD79 beta is a B cell specific marker, valuable for the detection of B cells at all maturation stages.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Flow Cytometry
Use 10μl of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100μl.
The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind to cells expressing low affinity fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR (BUF041A/BUF041B).
