Rabbit anti Human CD283 antibody recognizes human CD283, otherwise known as toll receptor 3, a 103.8 kDa member of the evolutionarily conserved toll-like receptor family (TLRs), expressed at high levels in the placenta and pancreas and also expressed by dendritic cells.

TLRs play an important role in the recognition of invading microbial pathogens during innate immunity, acting through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TRAF6. CD283 acts via a cytokine signaling pathway to induce the activation of NF-kappaB and type I interferons, and has been shown to recognize double-stranded viral RNA, including that of the Influenza A and West Nile virus.

Rabbit anti Human CD283 antibody has been shown as suitable for use in IHC on EL4 cytospins at 1ug/ml.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

This product has been reported to work in the following applications. This information is derived from testing within our laboratories, peer-reviewed publications or personal communications from the originators.
