| Rabbit anti Rat MIP-1 alpha antibody recognizes rat macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha (MIP-1 alpha), also known as CCL3. MIP-1 alpha has a molecular weight of approximately 7.8kD, which is produced by activated macrophages. MIP-1 alpha has been shown to be involved in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. |

- Reconstitute with 0.1 ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.

- Antisera to rat MIP-1 alpha were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbit with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
