Rabbit anti Human XPA antibody recognizes the human DNA repair associated protein designated XPA (Xeroderma pigmentosum A).XPA is a zinc finger protein of ~31 kDa, although it demonstrates an electophoretic mobility of a~40-42 kDa doublet. XPA is involved in the nucleotide excision repair process.
Rabbit anti Human XPA antibody recognises both normal and recombinant XPA, and shows no cross reactivity with other XP proteins.

- Antisera to human XPA were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen.

- Store at +4oC for one month or at -20oC for longer.
Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Applications of XPA antibody
|Immunohistology - Paraffin 1
- 1This product requires heat mediated treatment of paraffin sections. Bio-Rad recommend the use of antigen unmasking fluid for this purpose. A two hour incubation with AHP452 is recommended.
Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
