Rabbit anti STAT5A (pTyr694) antibody
recognizes STAT5A, also known as signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A when phosphorylated at tyrosine 694. STAT5A is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. Members of the STAT family reside in the cytosol until activated. Upon activation, STATs dimerize and translocate to the nucleus where they exert their transcriptional effects. STAT5a is phosphorylated at tyrosine 694 by members of JAK family of kinases as well as receptor tyrosine kinases (Coffer et al. 2000
). Phosphorylation at tyrosine 694 is crucial for activation of STAT5a.

- Antiserum to STAT5A (pTyr694) was raised by repeated immunization of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
