Rabbit anti SMURF1 antibody
recognizes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase SMURF1, also known as hSMURF1, HECT-type E3 ubiquitin transferase SMURF1 and SMAD ubiquitination regulatory factor 1. It belongs to the HECT family of E3 ubiquitin ligases and controls osteoblast activity and bone homeostasis (Yamashita et al. 2005
). It is involved in BMP receptor trafficking and signaling (Murakami and Etlinger 2018
). SMURF1 plays a role in breast cancer migration and invasion by downregulating RhoA (Kwon et al. 2013
). It also regulates cell migration by ubiquitinating tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 4 (TRAF4) (Wang et al. 2013
