Goat anti Human RXR alpha antibody detects an epitope within the internal region of retinoid X receptor alpha (RXR alpha). RXR alpha is a ~54 kDa member of the steroid/ thyroid receptor superfamily of transcriptional regulators, and is a nuclear receptor that mediates the biological effects of retinoids through its involvement in retinoic acid-mediated gene activation. RXR alpha regulates gene transcription by recruiting coactivators or corepressors to their promoter sequences. RXRs play important roles in multiple signalling pathways, including cell growth, differentiation, homeostasis, metabolism, and development. Goat anti Human RXR alpha antibody does not cross-react with either RXR beta or gamma. |
