Rabbit anti retinoblastoma (pSer795) antibody
recognizes retinoblastoma gene protein, also known as retinoblastoma-associated protein, p105-Rb, pp110 and Rb, when phosphorylated at serine 795. Retinoblastoma-associated protein is a tumor suppressor protein that plays a key role in G1
checkpoint control. In quiescent cells retinoblastoma-associated protein forms a repressor complex by binding to E2F transcription factors. Phosphorylation of retinoblastoma-associated protein results in dissociation from E2F, allowing for cell cycle progression.
