| Rabbit anti Human POLB antibody recognizes POLB, also known as DNA pol beta, DNA polymerase beta or DNA polymerase beta subunit. The protein encoded by the POLB gene is a DNA polymerase involved in base excision and repair, also called gap-filling DNA synthesis. POLB acting as a monomer, is normally found in the cytoplasm, but it translocates to the nucleus upon DNA damage. Several transcript variants of POLB exist, but the full-length nature of only one has been described to date (provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011). Rabbit anti Human POLB antibody detects a band of 38 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
