Rabbit anti NFkB p105 (pSer907) antibody
recognizes human nuclear factor NF-kappa-B (NFkB) p105 subunit, also known as DNA-binding factor KBF1, EBP-1 or nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, when phosphorylated at serine 907.
NFkB p105 is a large precursor protein that is cleaved at its C-terminus (which mainly contains ankyrin repeats) by the ubiquitin/proteasome pathway into the NFkB p50 subunit. The p50 subunit interacts with members of the Rel protein family to form transcription factors. The NFkB pathway plays a critical role in mediating immune responses after infection and has been implicated in a variety of diseases ranging from autoimmune disorders to cancer.
NFkB is phosphorylated at serine 907 by GSK3-beta (Demarchi et al. 2003
