Rabbit anti Human KGF antibody recognizes human KGF (keratinocyte growth factor), a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which acts as a potent mitogen of epithelial cells, predominantly of keratinocyte origin.
KGF is secreted by fibroblasts in response to stimulation from inflammatory mediators, including IL-1 beta and PDGF-BB (platelet-derived growth factor B), and binds specifically to a splice variant of the FGF receptor 2 (FGFR2-IIIb), known as the KGF receptor.

Applications of KGF antibody
|Immunohistology - Paraffin 1
- 1 This product requires enzyme mediated antigen retrieval prior to staining of parrafin sections. Proteinase K is recomended for this purpose.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
