Rabbit anti Heat shock protein 27 (pSer82) antibody recognizes heat shock protein 27, also known as heat shock protein beta-1, estrogen-regulated 24 kDa protein or stress-responsive protein 27, when phosphorylated at serine 82.
Heat shock protein 27 is a molecular chaperone protein. Heat shock protein 27 exerts an anti-apoptotic effect via inhibition of the cytochrome-c/procaspase-9 pathway. Phosphorylation of heat shock protein 27 at serine 82 occurs via the p38 MAPK pathway and contributes to significant alterations in the protein structure and protein-protein interactions of heat shock protein 27.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
