Rabbit anti FOXO1A (pSer256) antibody recognizes FOXO1A, when phosphorylated at serine 256. FOXO1A is a member of the forkhead family of transcription factors. Residue 256 of FOXO1A is phosphorylated by a number of kinases including AKT. Phosphorylation of FOXO1A at serine 256 results in decreased transcriptional activity and export of FOXO1A from the nucleus (Arden, 2004).
