ErbB2 (pTyr877) antibody
ErbB2 is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family of receptor tyrosine kinases and plays a key role in cell proliferation and differentiation.
ErbB2 heterodimerizes with other EGFR family members, however no specific ligand for ErbB2 has been identified (Yarden and Sliwkowski 2001). Overexpression of ErbB2 in breast cancer is associated with poor prognosis.
Phosphorylation of ErbB2 at tyrosine 877 is mediated by SRC (Xu et al. 2007).
