Rabbit anti EGF R (pThr654) antibody
recognizes the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGF R), also known as proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1 or receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-1, when phosphorylated at threonine 654. EGF R is a transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase family. EGF R is a cell surface receptor for members of the epidermal growth factor family.
EGF R plays a role in numerous cellular processes such as cell proliferation and apoptosis through the activation of downstream signaling pathways (Scaltriti and Baselga 2006
The phosphorylation of EGF R at threonine 654 by protein kinase C is involved in the recycling of ligand bound receptor (Bao et al. 2000

- Antiserum to EGF R (pThr654) was raised by repeated immunization of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
