Rabbit anti E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase CBL antibody
recognizes the Casitas B-lineage lymphoma (CBL) E3 ubiquitin ligase, also known as c-CBL proto-oncogene and ring finger protein 55. As the name implies, the viral form of CBL, v-CBL, has been shown to induce lymphoma and leukemia in mice (de Jong et al. 1995
The CBL protein is a RING finger E3-ubiquitin ligase that plays a key role in signal transduction processes through mediating monoubiquitination and thereby endocytosis of receptor tyrosine kinases (Haglund et al. 2002
, Dikic and Giordano 2003
). In addition to this role, CBL has also been reported to act as an adaptor protein as well as a mediator of cell signaling processes by changing the cellular localization of substrates (Liyasova et al. 2015
