Rabbit anti Chk1 (pSer280) antibody
recognizes Chk1 also known as checkpoint kinase-1, CHK1 checkpoint homolog or cell cycle checkpoint kinase, when phosphorylated at serine 280.
Chk1 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a crucial role in cell cycle control. Chk1 is involved in triggering cell cycle arrest, DNA repair and apoptosis (Bartek and Lukas 2003
Chk1 plays a critical role in preventing aberrant cells from progressing through the cell cycle (Thompson and Eastman 2013
). Chk1 is phosphorylated at serine 280 by p90 RSK (Li et al. 2012
) resulting in nuclear accumulation of Chk1.

- Antiserum to Chk1 (pSer280) was raised by repeated immunization of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
