Goat anti Human CD195 antibody
recognizes human CD195, also known as C-C chemokine receptor type 5, CCR5 or C-C CKR-5. CD195 is a 353 amino acid ~37 kDa multiple pass transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, preferentially expressed by a subset of memory Th1 (type 1 helper T) cells. Goat anti human CD195 antibody binds to an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of CD195.
CD195 acts as a high-affinity receptor for several chemotactic chemokines, including MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha), MIP-1 beta, and RANTES (regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein). CD195 is also a major co-receptor for HIV-1 infection, with variations in the CD195 gene, influencing the rate of progression into AIDS (Choe et al. 1996
Goat anti human CD195 antibody is suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on human peripheral blood leucocytes.
