Rabbit anti BCR (pTyr177) antibody
recognizes breakpoint cluster region protein (BCR), also known as Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-26, when phosphorylated at tyrosine 177. The BCR protein is a GTPase activating protein and a serine/threonine kinase. A translocation event between chromosomes 9 and 22 results in the fusion of c-ABL and BCR genes and subsequent expression of the BCR/ABL fusion protein (Hantschel and Superti-Furga, 2004
). BCR/ABL is associated with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML).
Phosphorylation of tyrosine 177 of BCR (in the BCR/ABL fusion protein) plays a key role in BCR/ABL mediated myeloproliferative disease (MPD) (Quintás-Cardama and Cortes, 2009

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
