Rabbit anti AKT2 (pSer474) antibody
recognizes AKT2 also known as RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase and protein kinase B beta, when phosphorylated at serine 474. AKT2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a key role in the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, known to regulate cell growth, proliferation and survival. AKT2 is specifically involved in the insulin receptor signaling pathway. AKT2 is phosphorylated at serine 474 by (MAPK)-activated protein kinase-2, integrin-linked kinase, p38 MAPK, PKCα, PKCβII, mTORC2, double-stranded DNA-dependent PK, autophosphorylation and ATM. Phosphorylation at threonine 309 and serine 474 are required for full activation of AKT2 (Suizu et al. 2009
