Rabbit anti Electric Eel Acetylcholinesterase antibody recognizes actylcholinesterase from Electrophorus electricus (electric eel).
Acetylcholinesterase exists as a homotetramer composed of 4 70kDa subunits. Each subunit contains 1 enzymatically active site.
Acetylcholinesterase catalyses the hydrolysis of acetylcholine to acetate and choline.
