Rabbit anti Leptospira biflexa antibody recognizes the saprophytic spirochaete Leptospira biflexa. Leptospira is a genus of spirochaete bacteria, including a small number of pathogenic and saprophytic species. Rabbit anti Leptospira biflexa antibody reacts with the following Leptospira species: L. biflexa, L. australis, L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, L. pomona and L. serjroe. Other Leptospira species have not been tested but may be reactive with this antibody.

Rabbit anti Leptospira biflexa antibody detects L. interrogans using immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections of (Tamandua tetradactyla) the Lesser Anteater (Sousa et al. 2020).
