CD62L (L-selectin)

Expressed on leukocytes, takes part in their capture by the endothelium. The corresponding ligands are CD34, MAdCAM-1, and GlyCAM-1.

CD29 (ß1 integrin)

Found on endothelial and epithelial cells, as well as all leukocytes, forms heterodimers with integrin a-subunits, including CD51 and CD49a-f.

CD31 (PECAM) 

Expressed on endothelial cells, platelets and most leukocyte populations. The primary ligand is avß3 integrin, but it also binds in a homophilic manner.

CD49a (a1 integrin)

Expressed on activated T lymphocytes and monocytes, associates with the ß1 intergrin subunit to form CD49a/CD29 (VLA-1).

CD49d (a4 integrin)

Expressed on most lymphocytes, can associate with either CD29 or ß7 integrin, primary ligands are CD106 (VCAM-1), fibronectin, and MAdCAM-1.

CD49e (a5 integrin)

Associates with CD29 to form the fibronectin receptor, CD49e/CD29 (VLA-5) VLA-5 found on mast cells, thymocytes, T cells and monocytes.

CD54 (ICAM-1)

Expressed on T cells, B cells, monocytes, and endothelial cells. It is ligand for LFA-1.

CD102 (ICAM-2)

Broadly expressed on most leukocytes and is constitutively expressed on endothelial cells. It is the ligand for LFA-1.

CD106 (VCAM-1)

Expressed predominantly on endothelial cells, up-regulated during inflammation; binds CD49d.

CD107b (MAC-3 or LAMP-2)

Associated with lysosomal membranes and is primarily expressed on mononuclear phagocytes. As expression is predominantly cytoplasmic, flow cytometry analysis can be improved by using Leucoperm™.

CD147 (Basigin)

Found on leukocytes, red cells, platelets, and endothelial cells. CD147 binds to itself or a3ß1.

MAdCAM-1

Expressed on endothelial cells within the mesenteric lymph nodes and the lamina propria of the intestine. It binds integrin a4ß7 and CD62L.
