Rat anti Mouse IDO, clone mIDO-48 recognizes IDO also known as indolamine 2,3-dioxygenase. IDO is a ubiquitously expresesd cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyzes the degradation of the essential amino acid L-tryptophan. IDO is implicated in protective response against both intracellular and extracellular pathogens. IDO is one of a number of genes induced by interferon gamma.
