Hamster anti Mouse CD84 recognizes CD84 also known as SLAMF5 or Ly9b. CD84 is a member of the SLAM family which also contains CD150. CD84 is found on a number of immune cells including B cells, monocytes, thymocytes, T cells and platelets. Structural studies provided evidence of a role for CD84 in the interaction between antigen presenting cells and T cells (Yan et al. 2007).
