Rat anti mouse CD62L, clone MEL-14, recognizes mouse L-selectin. L-selectin is an adhesion molecule expressed on most T and B lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes and eosinophils, (Fink, P. et al., 1985). Pre-incubation of lymphocytes with MEL-14 completely and specifically blocks binding of lymphocytes to high endothelial venules (HEV) in vitro and the migration of lymphocytes to lymph nodes in vivo (Gallatin, W. et al. 1983). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to using this clone in functional assays. |
