| Mouse anti SH3KBP1 antibody recognizes SH3 domain-containing kinase-binding protein 1, also known as CIN85 and CD2BP3. SH3KBP1 is a ubiquitously-expressed, multifunctional adaptor protein involved with regulation of multiple cellular housekeeping processes and cell type-specific functions. Central cell functions with SH3KBP1 involvement include vesicle trafficking, cytoskeletal organization, and cell surface receptor signaling (Keller et al. 2018). The multi-functional abilities of SH3KBP1 can be attributed to its multiple protein-protein binding motifs, allowing SH3KBP1 to interact with a wide range of signaling molecules within vast intracellular networks (Teng et al. 2016). SH3KBP1 is also an adaptor of EGFR and is pro-oncogenic, affecting apoptosis, adhesion, and invasion. It promotes cancer development and is overexpressed in the most hypoxic areas of tissues (Kozlova et al. 2019). |
