Mouse anti RAB1A antibody recognizes ras-related protein Rab-1A, also known as YPT1-related protein. RAB1A is a member of the RAB family of GTPases, and regulates traffic of vesicles from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. RAB1A also functions in mediation of signal transduction, cell migration, and autophagy regulation (Cheng et al. 2019). RAB1A plays an oncogenic role in many human cancers including breast cancer, lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (Wang et al. 2018) and colorectal cancer (Thomas et al. 2014). Importantly for various cancer types, RAB1A is involved with regulating the PI3K-AKT-mTORC1 pathway through the mTORC1 complex (Xu et al. 2017).
