Mouse anti PSMB10 antibody recognizes proteasome subunit beta type-10, also known as LMP10 and MECL1.

PSMB10 is a catalytic subunit of the 26S proteasome complex, which is important for protein degradation and for generation of peptides that bind to MHC molecules (Wu et al. 2006). PSMB10 forms part of the antigen-presenting machinery, and is regulated by interferon gamma (Ayers et al. 2017). The importance of PSMB10 in cardiovascular disease is being dissected, with roles of PSMB10 suggested in hypertensive retinopathy (Wang et al. 2018), hypertensive atrial fibrillation (Li et al. 2018) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (Butt et al. 2016).
