| Mouse anti NDRG1 antibody recognizes protein NDRG1, also known as DRG-1 and RTP. NDRG1 is a stress-response protein induced by hypoxia and cell differentiation signals. It has been found to act as a tumor suppressor in a variety of cancer types, suppressing migration, invasion, and metastasis by regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) or downregulating ErbB receptors (Dong et al. 2019). However, NDRG1 may have an oncogenic role in other cancerous conditions, making its role in cancer more complex (Du et al. 2018). For example, overexpression of NDRG1 has been found to be associated with elevated rates of metastasis and mortality in patients with breast cancer (Sevinsky et al. 2018). |
