Mouse anti Human IgD (Fc) antibody, clone LE2
recognizes an epitope located in the Fc region the heavy chain of human immunoglobulin D (IgD). Human IgD existst in two forms, the major membrane bound form which is co-expressed with IgM on the surface of mature B-cells (Blattner et al. 1984
) and a minor secreted form comprising about 0.25% total serum Ig (Rogentine et al. 1966
). Membrane bound IgD bears predominantly the κ light chain whereas the secreted form has predominantly λ light chains (Preud'homme et al. 2000

- Spleen cells from BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the NS1 mouse myeloma cell line.
- Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
