Immunoprecipitation of EPS15 from Jurkat whole cell lysate. The Input lane is 10% input; the EPS15-IP lane is the immunoprecipitation with the EPS15 antibody (2.5 µg, MCA6171); the IgG-IP lane is the immunoprecipitation with Mouse monoclonal IgG (2.5 µg, MCA928 ). Mouse anti EPS15 antibody recognizes epidermal growth factor receptor substrate 15 (EPS15), also known as protein AF-1p.

EPS15 is an endocytic accessory protein which plays a role in the internalization of ligand-indicible receptors, notably EGFR, by interacting with the clathrin assembly adaptors AP2 and EPSIN1 (Milesi et al. 2019). EGFR activation induces sequential EPS15 phosphorylation, activating translocation of EPS15 from endosomes to the cytosol. The C-terminus of EPS15 contains two ubiqitin-interacting motifs, which can bind EGFR directly (Haugen et al. 2017). Because of its role in terminating signaling from growth factors, EPS15 is involved with several malignancies. Overexpression of EPS15 has been found to be associated with a favourable clinical outcome in patients with breast cancer (Dai and Zhang 2015). 		PrecisionAb Antibodies
