Mouse anti Human CD79b antibody, clone AT105-1 recognizes an extracellular region of human B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain, also known as CD79b, B-cell-specific glycoprotein B29, Ig-beta or, Immunoglobulin-associated B29. CD79b is a cell surface antigen expressed by B lymphocytes and associates with CD79a to form a heterodimer, non-covalently linked to surface immunoglobulin, forming the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex.

Mutations in the CD79B gene can lead to presentation of Agammaglobulinemia 6, autosomal recessive (AGM6), a disease demonstrating low or absent circulating B cells with the concomitant absence of antibody production. Patients present with multiple severe infections early in life (Dobbs et al. 2007).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
