Mouse anti Human ATG3 antibody recognizes the ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme ATG3, also known as 2610016C12Rik, ATG3 autophagy related 3 homolog, autophagy-related protein 3, hApg3, ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme ATG3.

A product of the ATG3 gene, ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme ATG3 is a ubiquitin-like-conjugating enzyme and is a component of ubiquitination-like systems involved in autophagy, the process of degradation, turnover and recycling of cytoplasmic constituents in eukaryotic cells. This protein is known to play a role in regulation of autophagy during cell death. A pseudogene of ATG3 is located on chromosome 20. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013).

Mouse anti Human ATG3 antibody detects a band of 40 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
