| Mouse anti ATF1 antibody recognizes cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-1, also known as TREB36. ATF1 is a basic region-leucine zipper transcription factor belonging to the cAMP response element-binding protein family. In embryonic stem cells (ESCs), ATF1 is a regulator of pluripotency and ATF1 knockdown has been shown to up-regulate neuroectoderm genes (Yang et al. 2019). Gene fusions between ATF1 and EWSR1 have been described in a range of neoplasms (Thway and Fisher 2012). ATF1 functions as an oncogene in colorectal cancer and facilitates proliferation by affecting apoptosis (Tian et al. 2019). |
