    • Rabbit anti human XBP1 antibody recognizes human X-box binding protein 1 (XBP1), a ~29 kDa nuclear protein belonging to the bZIP family.

XBP1 is a transcription factor essential for a range of processes including hepatocyte growth, plasma cell differentiation, immunoglobulin secretion, and the unfolded protein response (UPR). XBP1 acts during endoplasmic reticulum stress by activating unfolded protein response target genes via direct binding to the UPR element.
