    • Rabbit anti XAF1 antibody recognizes the X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP)-associated factor 1 (XAF1). XAF1 is normally expressed in all adult and fetal tissues, the levels of XAF1 has been shown to be inversely correlated with p53. p53 is, in turn, directly responsible for inhibiting XAF1 transcription. Overexpression of XAF1 may result in the neutralization of XIAP’s, which are inhibitors of apoptosis. They may therefore inhibit the ability to promote cell death.
