    • Mouse anti Human Tubulin alpha Ib antibody, clone 4D1 recognizes human tubulin alpha 1B chain, also known as TUBA1B and tubulin K-alpha-1.

The most common members of the tubulin family are α-tubulin and β-tubulin, the proteins that make up microtubules. To form microtubules, the dimers of α- and β-tubulin bind to GTP and assemble onto the ends of microtubules while in the GTP-bound state. After being incorporated into the microtubule, the bound molecule of GTP will hydrolyse into GDP.

Tubulin alpha 1B chain is a subtype of human a-tubulin.
