Recombinant Human Thrombopoietin is an E.coli derived protein corresponding to human thrombopoietin (TPO), also known as the Mp1-ligand, MGDF. TPO stimulates the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes and promotes increased circulating levels of platelets in vivo. This preparation of Recombinant Human Thrombopoietin comprises the receptor binding domain of Mpl-ligand protein. ED50 <1.0ng/ml determined by dose-dependent stimulation of M07e cells, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1 x 106 units/mg.
