    • Serpin I1, otherwise known as Neuroserpin, is an axonally secreted serine protease inhibitor and member of the Serpin family, predominantly expressed in the brain, which binds to and inactivates plasminogen activators and plasmin.

The expression of Serpin I1 during the late stages of embryonic neurogenesis, suggests Serpin I1 may play a role in the formation or reorganization of synaptic connections, and is implicated as a regulator of proteases involved in neuronal migration and synaptic plasticity.
    • Intended Use
    • Target Species
    • Product Form
      Purified recombinant protein - lyophilised
    • Reconstitution
      Reconstitute with 250ul distilled water
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.

Purified recombinant Serpin I1 expressed in E.coli
    • Preservative Stabilisers
      None present
    • Activity
Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of rat C6 cells using a concentration range of 0.3-0.6 µg/ml.
    • Purity
      >96% by SDS PAGE and HPLC analysis

    • Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
      After reconstitution store at -20oC.
For extended storage the addition of 0.1% BSA is recommended.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
