    • Recombinant Human Keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) is a potent mitogen for keratinocytes and epithelial cells.

Activity is assessed by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by KGF-responsive BaF3 cells.
    • Intended Use
    • Target Species
      Human
    • Product Form
Purified recombinant protein expressed in E. coli - lyophilised
    • Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 0.1 ml phosphate buffered saline pH7.0. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
    • Preparation
    • Preservative Stabilisers
      None present
    • Activity
      1 x 105 units/mg
    • Purity
      >96% by SDS PAGE and N-Terminal sequence analysis
    • Approx. Protein Concentrations
      0.1 mg/ml
    • Protein Molecular Weight
      19kDa (163 Amino acid sequence)

    • Test Principle
    • Buffer Solution
      Phosphate buffered saline
    • Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
      Following reconstitution store at -20oC.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
    • Shelf Life
6 months from date of reconstitution.
