HCA030 recognises the human protein tyrosine kinase JNK3, a protein of approximately 45kD.
JNK3 acts to phosphorylate a number of transcription factors, primarily components of AP-1 such as c-Jun and ATF2 and thus regulates AP-1 transcriptional activity in response to stress. JNK3 is required for stress-induced neuronal apoptosis.
JNK3 is expressed predominantly in brain, with very weak expression reported in testis and kidney. Two isoforms of JNK3 are recognised due to alternative gene splicing.

A bivalent human recombinant Fab selected from the HuCAL® GOLD phage display library. Expressed in E. coli and purified using NiNTA affinity chromatography. This Fab fragment is dimerized via a helix-turn-helix motif. The antibody is tagged with a myc-tag (EQKLISEEDL) and a his-tag (HHHHHH) at the C-terminus of the anti-body heavy chain.
